The Peasant Revolt is a historical novel by August Šenoa that was published in Vijevac in 1877, and was published as a book in 1878. The novel is subtitled "Historical Narrative of the 16th Century", so it can be seen as a historical monograph in the form of a novel. At the beginning of the novel, it is pointed out that the novel is dedicated to Mihovil Pavlinović, the leader of the Croatian revival in Dalmatia, whom Šenoa highly valued.
