Summary
Nikola Popović: Sketches for the voyage
"Stories from the train are beyond time, space and travel, they float while listening to the ear of a stranger, like a cone carried by the waves while a breadfruit tree grows on it, taking root. The whole world is, after all, in a nutshell, and you, like me, as they say in the Levant - it is written that you travel, you just need to step on the deck and say "Call me Ishmael", you will only say your short, a two-syllable name, which means: man, created from the earth. The fact that I write to you in different times, the present and the previous, is not because of the unevenness of the writing itself, but because I write about travels most susceptible to the decay of memory, so portraits, faces and spoken words have been lost in the voids of memory, which have now erased the bumps and shadows."
