Summary
Janko Matko: The light of extinguished eyes
Dragomir is a young man who often falls in love, but girls do not want him because he is blind. He learned braille, learned the art of brush making, and also played the organ and the violin. His mother, Zorka, prayed to God that despite everything, he would still be happy in life. She died in this belief, still quite young. As a member of the Association of the Blind, Dragomir comes to Zagreb with his mother's words in his head: "You will be happy, son, it was promised to me". His mother's prophecy came true and Dragomir, with the help of good people, finds his lifelong companion Jelica, "the light of the extinguished eyes".
