Summary
Maarten Inghels: Trade in emotional goods
Things that are left after people who die, and with which relatives often do not know what to do with, are Luukas Kolibri's specialty. His company "Trade in emotional goods" offers the service of removing unwanted items and cleaning up after the deceased. "He kept an archive of other people's memories in acid-free boxes." But after the death of his partner, Luukas begins to obsessively accumulate items in his apartment. In his first novel, the young Dutch author bravely speaks about the subject of loss, loneliness, mourning and forgetting.
