Živjeti i umirati za Srebrenicu

Feković-Kulović Mihrija

Summary

Mihrija Feković-Kulović: Living and Dying for Srebrenica

A factual novel in which individual true testimonies of unremembered crimes and severe sufferings of Srebrenica survivors of all ages and genders are combined. This novel does not dwell only on numbers, but tells the story of living human drama. It tries to show the complete drama not only of Srebrenica and its surroundings, but also of the whole of eastern Bosnia. It was not easy for the author when writing the book, because she had before her the insurmountable task of making a story out of the chaotic reality of life that is clear and completely comprehensible to us. (Safet Sijarić). The people of Srebrenica bravely and shamelessly confessed their human stories, which makes them credible witnesses. Although I thought I knew everything about Srebrenica, after hearing the stories of the survivors, I saw that this was not the case. This novel describes the days of hell in Srebrenica in the best way.
