El diccionario croata-español de la casa editorial Dominović es el primer diccionario croata-español de tamaño considerable y el más completo en la lexicografía bilingüe croata-español publicado en Croacia. It contains 65,000 entries and 5,200 phrasal units (collocaciones, locutions and refrains) and, in addition to the general lexicon, elaborates terminology specific to the human, social, natural and technical sciences (literature, linguistics, music, economy, psychology, sociology, geography, biology, medicine, mathematics, physics, architecture, construction, nautical, etc.). The macrostructure of the dictionary was elaborated following the model of croatian dictionaries, monolingues and fraseológicos, while the acceptances were verified in the Sketch Engine tool, as well as in the reference corpus of the Croatian language. Likewise, it includes dialectalismos registrados en los diccionarios generales (excepto aquellos que, de la palabra estándar, diffieren en el reflejo del jat, e.g. lip - nice 'bonito, bello, hermoso, guapo, lindo') and unexhaustivo repertorio de gentilicios. Destinado en primer lugar a los estudiantes de lengua y literatura española y traductores de croata a español, este diccionario puede servir a todos aquellos que quieran conocer la riqueza de uno de los idiomas mas grandes del mundo. Por la elaboración specifica de la lengua de partida, también lo pueden utilizar los hablantes nativos de español que quieren aprender croata.
