The retrospective exhibition of Ivo Kalina was held from April 21 to May 31, 1994 in the Rijeka Modern Gallery. This key exhibition presented a complete overview of the work of this prominent Croatian painter, recognizable for his strong gestural and abstract expression.
This retrospective was the last major exhibition organized during the artist's lifetime, given that Ivo Kalina died a year later, in 1995. The next big retrospective entitled "Mijene geste" was held only in 2006 in the Art Pavilion in Zagreb.
