Summary
Zoran Ferić: An angel in the offside
The book exudes humor, but in a bizarre way it outlines human stupidity, primitivism and hypocrisy. Zoran Ferić highlights the paranoia of the common man and his own horrors. Despite the fact that his cynicism, bizarreness and dark humor are excessive for one's taste, they are Ferić's trump cards in winning over readers of all age groups as well as the profession, which calls him the originator of a new type of Croatian prose, and which rewards him. Zoran Ferić won the Ksaver Šandor Gjalski award in 2000 for the collection of stories "An Angel in the Offside".
