Summary
Zoran Ferić: The Symmetries of Miracles - Collected Prose
Zoran Ferić is the author of the story books The Mousetrap by Walt Disney and The Angel in the Offside, the novels The Death of the Girl with the Marks and The Children of Patras, and the book of essays I fired the letter. This is a note that is regularly cited in newspaper and critical texts about Ferić, but this note about the writer who gives metaphysical weight to human illness is not entirely accurate. There is another book by Ferić, only a few friends know about it, but it will probably never be published. The manuscript was destroyed, but it could be reconstructed, but the question is what consequences it would have for its author. Namely, Zoran Ferić did not give up on its publication because he was dissatisfied with the quality of the texts - at that time he wanted nothing more from that book ~ but for his health.
Critics have already noticed that Ferić published Walt Disney's The Mousetrap rather late, at the age of 36, but that late start was not, as they assumed, the result of the author's slow maturation or the long fermentation of the manuscript, but the author's decision to sacrifice his first book for his own life. That first book of stories, jokes and mini-essays, in which the influence of Quorum poetics is much more present than in published books, was called - Legends. It had five cycles and many of its parts were published in periodicals at the end of the eighties (Studentski list, Polet, Quorum, Pitanja), so a diligent researcher, following the instructions we will give him, could quite faithfully restore it.
