Summary
Miroslav Krleža: Gospoda Glembajevi
It is a story about the decline and fall of an aristocratic house, riddled with decades of crimes, frauds and suicides. The decadence of a rich family, which ends in madness of the senses, nervous alienation and terrible crime, seems to represent the peak of that destructive energy that will eventually explode on the social level as well, culminating in war, as a kind of orgy and carnival of anger and death.
