Sanja Pilić received the second prize of the Večernji list for a short story in 1981, the second prize for the radio play "About whom it's about" by Radio-Student and the literature review in 1990 (Slovenia), the Grigor Vitez award for the book "About moms are the best" (1990), the Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić award for the book "Crunks from the living room" (1995) and for the book "Jafrkancije, zazancije, smijancije i ludancije" (2001) and again the Grigor Vitez award for the book "I've completely matured" (2002), and the Mato Lovrak award for the novel "What is happening to me" (2007). The novel "Have I fallen in love" was included in the IBBY list of honor for 2008.
Sanja Pilić was born in 1954 in Split. She graduated from the School of Applied Arts, photography department. She worked as a photographer, trick cameraman and colorist on cartoons. She cooperated with the Autonomous Women's House from Zagreb and worked with abused children. She is a member of various judging committees for children's creativity. He performs in schools at children's literary gatherings. Sometimes he works as a journalist. Her texts have been translated into Slovenian, English, German, Dutch, Italian and Hungarian. He lives and works in Zagreb.
