Summary
Toni Juričić: Drunken saints howl at the moon
When the young writer arrives in a small, picturesque Istrian town, he is convinced that he knows what awaits him: he will finally finish his manuscript in peace, meet some interesting new people and have a good time.
However, things in this idyllic place will quickly get completely out of control. Demons strengthened by glasses of alcohol and the shadow of a discarded manuscript begin to haunt him at every step, and the author will work very hard to find a way out of his wild imagination and the even crazier reality that surrounds him.
Imaginative and witty, fierce and funny, at times tender and wistful, Tonij Juričić's second novel brilliantly combines the incompatible. Like a crazy road novel, Drunk Saints Howl at the Moon is a crazy, adrenaline-filled literary ride that will delight you at every unexpected turn.
„Like Fear and Loathing that does not take place in Las Vegas, but in a nice Istrian town, this is a text that could have a warning: Only for the bravest!" - Andrija Škare, writer and editor of the Bura Library
