After it was published in the USA last year, the novel gained popularity among younger readers and reached the top of the New York Times bestseller list, and Publisher's Weekly named it the best-selling debut novel for young people last year. The copyright for the film was bought by Disney, and the main role in the film, which will soon be in theaters, was assigned to the popular Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana), while the producers of the teenage hit Twilight, Marty Bowen and Wick Godfrey, and Miley's mother, Tish Cyrus, united in the production of the film.
