Summary
Robert Međurečan: Krletka za glinengo goluba
Krletka za glinengo goluba is a crime story that digs into the dark sediments of Croatia's recent past in the year of the world football championship in which Croatia becomes the vice-champion of the world, thus portraying in the backlight the universal euphoria and joy and the hidden skeletons waiting to be buried. Andrija Tomaš, convicted of a war crime, after years of wandering around the world, returns home haunted by his conscience and something else, much more material and dangerous. At the same time, newly minted minister Katarina Jurić, driven by a pathological urge, embarks on a personal revenge, all in order to find the mysterious Petar Toma, a man with demonic attributes. In the atmosphere of "the past never ends here", these two focuses of the story intertwine, complement each other with intrigue, corruption, clientelism and the dead. (KM6)
