Summary
Anthony Horowitz: House of Silk
When his wife takes a short trip, Dr. Watson has the opportunity to spend a few days with his old friend Sherlock Holmes. The pleasant gathering is interrupted by the arrival of Edmund Carstairs, a picture dealer who needs Holmse's help. After the unpleasant events in America in which he was involved, Carstairs fears that he is being hunted by the last surviving member of Boston's dangerous Beret Gang. Intrigued by this story, Holmes embarks on a dangerous adventure. Anthony Horowitz is the first author to receive permission from the Arthur Conan Doyle Foundation to use the character of Sherlock Holmes in his novel, so this exciting story is the first official Holmes novel since the death of its author in 1930.
