Delalić Munib

Summary

Munib Delalić: Getting nostalgic

In the general relocation of the nineties, many writers from Bosnia and Herzegovina sought (willingly or less willingly) new cities and countries where they could live and write.

It was normal to expect that their new literary works would (more or less) include new regions and new experiences, nostalgia and memories of "former" lives,.... which mostly resulted in authors with a new residential address, took all life's problems, different and particularly high-quality manuscripts.

That is how the already established writer Munib Delalić found himself in Norway, in Oslo, where he diligently studied a new language, discovered the literature of the new homeland, translated, but wrote his poetry in the language of the old homeland. And he published everything he wrote in BiH and Croatia!

Thus, after leaving for Norway, his new poetry books with beautiful and very eloquent titles were published: Lahor (poems, Sarajevo, 1997), Zlatnik (poems, Obzor, Međugorje, 1999), Sjaj sputne becomes (lyrical diary, Obzor, Međugorje, 2001), Scandinavian letter (poems, Obzor, Međugorje, 2002), Nostalgično se kompleti (poems, Fidipid-Obzor, Zagreb-Međugorje, 2004), The world of faces (selected pjesme, Dobra knjiga, Sarajevo, 2009), Razgovor s nad (lyrical diary, Dobra knjiga, Sarajevo, 2010)

The very titles of the books confirm what has just been said!

The book of poetry Nostalgically se kompleta is the only book of poetry by this exceptional poet and translator, published in Croatia.

Words/verses/poems in the book Nostalgically to complete yourselfare only the poet's tool with which he "defends himself from the powerlessness to express everything that troubles him". "Literature is a house of sorrow", Munib will say in his poem!
