Nataša Wodin writes exclusively in German. Her works are dominated by the theme of displacement and the feeling of not belonging to the environment in which she lives and works, even though she was born, raised and educated in Germany. All the works of this author are exclusively autobiographical. Her novel "She came from Mariupolje" was awarded the Alfred-Dovlin prize (2015), while two years later it also received the prestigious Leipzig Book Fair award as book of the year.
