A family saga about stormy times in the imaginary kingdom of Moravia in the period from the end of the 19th century. century until the end of II. world war. Hard-working bank clerk Rudolf Getz gets an opportunity to, with a little fraud, easily get the noble title and wealth he's dreamed of all his life. He starts a new life as Count von Ludberg and meets the manager of his new estate, Viktor Hoffman. Their destinies are intertwined in an unusual way, guided by the author's faith in the good that exists in people... The place and characters in the novel are fictional, although the reader can recognize the idyllic landscape of Hrvatski Zagorje, where the author was born.
