Summary

Zane Grey: The Princess Ranch

An exciting, dynamic and modern western novel by Zane Grey, which brings a unique combination of traditional life in the American West and the influence of the modern era. The plot begins with an unusual introduction in which we meet Lance Sidway, a young and disillusioned cowboy from Oregon, who with his faithful horse Umpquo tries to find happiness and work in flashy but superficial Hollywood. [1]

After realizing that the film industry is not for him, Lance leaves the city and goes to work on a huge, modern ranch in Arizona known as "Princess Ranch" (Majesty's Rancho). The owner of the ranch is the beautiful, stubborn and wealthy heiress Madge Stewart, who everyone calls "Princess" because of her proud demeanor. But the idyllic ranch life is soon threatened by the arrival of unscrupulous modern criminals and cattle rustlers who use fast trucks instead of horses. Lance soon finds himself at the center of a dangerous fight for justice and the preservation of the estate, while at the same time trying to tame the proud heart of the beautiful mistress.
