Summary
Zane Grey: Ames Arizonan
After a six-month absence spent hunting, aging trapper Cappy Tanner returns to Mescal Hill to spend some time in his cabin. The Ames family, who live in the immediate vicinity, will be very happy about his return. After the initial delight at the sudden arrival and gifts of "Uncle Cappy", Rich, the eldest son of the widowed Mrs. Ames, will soon confide in him that the situation in the family is not as idyllic as it used to be. This is primarily caused by the strange and capricious behavior of the eldest daughter Nesta, a beautiful girl who wavers between two men, and whose future and good reputation her brother Rich is quite worried about. Nesta's unfortunate fate will eventually trigger a series of unfortunate events...
