Summary
Peter Henisch: Grand final for Novak
Novak discovers the world of strong emotions late, and precisely in the hospital. Since his roommate A Short Night for Nights disturbs his sleep, Indonesian nurse Manuela lends him her Walkman and cassette tapes, thus infecting him with a love of opera music. After leaving the hospital, he does not manage to fully return to his everyday life. The fact that the Post Office, his profit-oriented employer, suddenly sends him into retirement does not improve the situation at all. Manuela, in any case, opened his ears to all the noise of everyday life - lawnmowers, pneumatic hammers and his wife Herta.
