Francisco de Quevedo: Biography of a Rogue
The story follows Don Pablo, a young man of low birth who dreams of becoming a nobleman and amassing wealth, but faces many obstacles and setbacks. Pablo comes from a troubled family: his father is a cheater and his mother is a prostitute, which follows him like a stigma throughout his life.
In order to escape from his shameful past, Pablo tries to get involved in different social classes, serving as a servant, a student and a fake nobleman, but each time he ends up in an even more difficult situation. His adventures are full of funny and tragic situations that expose the social injustice, greed and hypocrisy of the society of that time. Pablo, although resourceful and resourceful, fails to realize his ambitions and ends up poor and persecuted.
