Summary
Miško Šuvaković: Art and Politics
Contemporary aesthetics, philosophy, theory and art in the time of global transition
The book discusses the relationship between contemporary art, aesthetics, philosophy, art theory and culture. The term contemporary art refers to artistic phenomena after modernity and postmodernity. It is about artistic practices that developed after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Global transition indicates a world in which there is no stable social, cultural or artistic order, but, above all, a multiplicity of unstable, open, nomadic, crisis and flexible events that can be recognized as current interrelations between art and society.
