Summary
Overview dictionary of comparative terminology in literature and culture
The dictionary was created on the basis of joint inter-faculty research on the theoretical-historical terminological assumptions of comparative literature. During its creation, which represents a pioneering undertaking, one-sidedness and limitations in the approach to this issue were avoided. It laid quite solid foundations for the process of standardization of comparatist terminology, which, therefore, is carried out according to unique methodological and scientific standards, which are clearly defined, but also set sufficiently broadly. The dictionary is an example of flexible modernization and standardization of professional terminology in a scientific discipline, which has a rich tradition and undoubted perspectives. The terms included in this Dictionary are processed in a more complex lexicographical description, so that each definition contains the necessary measure of informativeness and reliability.
