Shimon bar Yochai: The Zohar, The Book of Shining, Bereshit & Noah
Chapter 1: The Seven Chambers of Paradise
In the next section, the Sefer Ha'Zohar interprets the metaphysical structure of all reality.
The Zohar is not just a book that provides information. As we carefully observe Aramaic words and sentences, they convey mystical knowledge, deep spiritual influence and positive energy into every area of our lives. The Zohar is the life-giving channel through which flows the spiritual Light described on the given pages. The very act of observing and learning from the Zohar allows us to absorb the energy contained in each individual letter. Simply put, the words on these pages bring light where there is darkness - they enlighten.
In the Garden of Eden there are seven chambers - seven levels of spiritual energy frequencies. These chambers correspond to the seven Sefirot (a) or dimensions.
Although the Sefirot are a collection of ten Sephiras that make up all that exists, they are divided into two groups - the upper three [Keter, Hochma, and Binah] and the lower seven [Hesed, Geburah, Tiferet, Nechah, Hod, Yesod, and Malchut].
Generally speaking, the upper three Sephiras do not directly affect or overflow our physical world. They are above and beyond the limits of our cosmic environment.
On the other hand, the lower seven are in direct contact with our world. Moreover, they are like a holographic projector that projects the light of the Creator in the form of a three-dimensional hologram that we perceive as our universe.
Since there are seven sources of light, we should not be surprised by the constant repetition of the number seven: seven notes in music, seven colors in the spectrum, seven seas, seven continents ...
