Summary
Goran Mimica: Balkanibal
Vukojebina in the south of the Balkans. Hotel "Popov toranj". The strange guest-captain, Baron von Balkanibal, tells a random Traveler about a visit to the mysterious City-Dome and the tragedy that befell its artists. But the story slowly grows, escapes Baron's control, spins: from the theory of incompleteness to the art of oblivion, from a (non)existent gallery to an unusual box, from a spiral railway to the danger hidden by melancholy, from the theater of memory to mesmerism, from a river barge to a torture chamber... Baron finally gives in to her. Because she, the story, wants to be told and she doesn't care who does it. If he has to sacrifice the baron himself, so be it. That's how it was.
