However, it is not enough to say that Leonardo da Vinci was only a universal genius, because that would not distinguish him from other great men of the period. For him, this universality and versatility meant a constant desire for knowledge, which marked his entire life. Leonardo da Vinci was a sculptor, architect, engineer, he observed man using a method that later generations called Leonardo's method. He managed to combine science and art and was the best at it.
