Summary
Leonardo da Vinci: Quadrifolium
Quadrifolium is a book of original texts by Leonardo da Vinci (1452 – 1519) containing his astute observations on a wide variety of scientific and artistic subjects and records of discoveries and prophetic visions that Leonardo brings in riddles and/or proverbs. Originally written in the mirror technique, as an expression of a new visual language, these texts arose from the ideal of a versatile, Renaissance universal man who reflects on the world around and within himself with ambiguous metaphors and practical judgments.
