When the theater director Noelia Cid is entrusted with staging Enchantment, a lost play by the distinguished playwright Gregory Martínez Sierra, she decides to obtain information about the play through documents preserved by his wife, Maria Leharaga. However, during the research, Noelia not only discovers the complex love relationship between Maria and Gregory, but also encounters a mystery that has been unsolved for more than a century: who was the real author of the works of the great Spanish playwright. Drawn to Maria's life story filled with passion, art and feminism, Noelia illuminates the biography of this fascinating woman who struggled to live her vocation and who witnessed firsthand the great turning points of the last century: literary Madrid in the twenties, Paris during the Belle Epoque, the political struggle of women during the Second Republic, exile after the Civil War, the Nazi occupation of France and the glamor of the golden age of Hollywood.
