Summary
Alberto Moravia: Čočara
Moravia has the basic thematic and stylistic features of his work, close to existentialism: questioning alienation, emotional deprivation and the impossibility of communication, especially in the middle class, which he achieved with stripped-down language and realistic dialogues. A stronger support in neorealism is noticeable in works about people from lower social strata, such as this novel.
