Summary
Franz Mehring: Hein (Heinrich Heine)
Great German poet in the period of transition from romanticism to realism. He was born into a rich family of a Jewish banker and merchant. He tried to devote himself, albeit reluctantly, to an ordinary civil career, but he did not succeed.
Heine is a widely read and loved poet to this day. He is both appreciated and criticized: Blok finds the inconsistency in his personal life disgusting, he resents the irony in his revolutionary poems such as the poem "Weavers", but he still considers him a valuable poet in other ways. magazines spread revolutionary ideas: the struggle for democracy, the republic (Heine was in contact with Marx, but later parted ways). This is a concise reminder of his short and stormy life.
