Summary
Fernando Pessoa: Heteronyms
Fernando Pessoa's heteronyms, of which indeed there are enough for several abundant literary lifetimes, may not be a puzzle to researchers and literary historians today, but they are nonetheless fascinating in every sense. Such a range of genres, styles and ideas was achieved by Fernando Pessoa (despite his real author's name, which can also be a heteronym, psychologists would say), that he was introduced into literature as a unique example of a man with a thousand names. The origin of Kaeiro and his followers Reisha and Kampusha, at first glance, looks like a well-designed joke. But it didn't. It is a great work of intellectual magic, a magnum opus of insensible creative power.
