Hugo von Hofmannsthal: Imaginary letters
It is about an author who is known as a kind of rock of the German-Austrian literary scene. It is still relatively unknown in our country and is only represented in translation with a few short stories. Under the title *Imaginary Letters*, the Serbian reader is offered a small selection of epistolary stories, extremely important for shaping Viennese modernity. This choice also represents a kind of contribution to the reading of the novel *Palace of the Flies* (Palace of the Flies) by Walter Kapacher. For the same reason, a fragment from the unfinished novel *Andreas*, which consists of two rounded, independent narrative units, was added to those letters.
