Summary
Louis Pauwels, Jacques Bergier: Morning of the Wizard: An Introduction to Fantastic Realism
In the words of the authors themselves, this is "...a story, part legend, part truth, about the first journey into as yet unexplored realms of consciousness". The fantastic world of the occult and supernatural, mysticism and the paranormal, is presented in "Morning of the Sorcerer" with an unusual mixture of fairy tale and reality in which the authors gathered their research of Truth in literature from a wide range of science and parascience. The book, despite criticism due to the lack of references and sources, is credited with a great influence on popular culture, because it stimulated interest in the occult and the unusual in the 1960s and 1970s, thus opening the door wide to New Age ideas.
