Summary
Kamel Daoud: Merso, counter - investigation
In the novel "The Stranger" by Albert Camus, Meursault buried his mother in the summer of 1942, went to the beach with his girlfriend and killed an Arab with five shots from a revolver. The investigation into the murder did not raise the question of who the Arab was. Seventy years later, the elderly Harun, Arab's brother, sits in a bar in Oran and talks about the investigation that his mother and he led all his life in order to find the body, bury it and tell the world the name of the murdered. that's why I chose the form of an old man's monologue, in honor of that work of Camus."
