In the sixth installment of the exciting "House of Night" series, we follow Zoey Redbird's efforts to save the world from evil, her growing up and maturing from vampire novice to high priestess while trying to remain an ordinary girl with everyday teenage problems. After Zoey and her friends chase away the immortal fallen angel Kalona and the fallen vampiric High Priestess Neferet, they decide to leave the Benedictine nunnery that sheltered them and return to the House of Night. The situation they encounter there is not very good: many beginners are wounded in the fight with the name-crows, and part of the professors and students still do not believe in the evil intentions of Kolona and Neferet.
