Summary

Franz Kafka: Letter to Father

Letter to Father is a deeply human and poignant account of the conflicts and tragic misunderstanding between a strong and arrogant father and a weak and indecisive son, in which the son opens his soul, detailing all his father's sins and all his powerlessness to oppose him. Painfully frustrated by this all his life, Franz Kafka wrote the Letter when he was 36 years old, but even at that age he did not have the courage to hand it to the addressee.
Charged with feelings that had accumulated during almost his entire lifetime (the author died five years later), the Letter to his Father is certainly a biographical document that most clearly and in detail exposes Franz Kafka's life situation. She expresses her opinion about herself and her relationship with her father without reservation, honestly, so this, so to speak, "big brother" view of the Kafka family's house, in which some will probably recognize scenes from their own home, will also be interesting to "yellow" oriented readers.
In any case, it can be stated that the influence of her father on the life and work of Franz Kafka was of crucial importance and that their relationship is reflected in all of his oeuvre, and this work is the best confirmation of that.
