Summary
Jovan Dučić: From the Mediterranean Behind the differences in the manifestation and experience of the sky and light over Rome, Avila, Toledo, Segovia, on the one hand, and those over Mostar, Athens, Parnassus and the Ionian Sea, on the other hand, lie the differences between people and different worlds and cultures. In this respect, Dučić does not want to leave us in a dilemma. With symbols of light and their metaphorization, Dučić expresses himself in Serbian literature like no one before him. He does not stop being a poet even when he wants to be just a shrewd traveller.
