And just when I thought that Jelica could hardly make me laugh more with her first independent book than she did with the collections *They call me mom 2*, *Bolja strana*, *Zivot za poneti* or *Priči nikad kira* (to conscientiously list all our collaborations that made me so happy) - I experienced a surprise! I read so many of her stories, sorted them, included some, strictly rejected some, wrote accompanying texts, texts for covers and instructions to designers, fought with proofreaders and Jeliča's requests like "I don't let you touch me". I discovered with great pleasure that with this book, Jelica set the tone - both for herself and for all her readers - that recognizable, somewhat wacky style of sentences, hilarious incidents of life companions from the "home front", the smell and taste of nostalgia and those decorative aesthetic "ginger-rings" that we love so much. Themes, heroes and humor - everything is there, but just the way I like it the most, and in a rhythm I didn't expect! I also laughed with the previous books, but there the laughter would subside a little here and there, while here it simply flows, does not stop and does not lose its intensity. We thought about bringing order among those stories published for the first time, giving them a special editorial arrangement. But I gave in to the idea of surprise. Let the reader, just like me, carelessly indulge in this delicious collection of stories; let each next one surprise him with something. They might think they've already read it somewhere, but that's exactly the charm: loyal readers should know where these stories come from, and if they recognize them - all the better, congratulations on knowing the subject!
