Folgore, real name Giacomo di Michele, a soldier and warrior born in the Tuscan city of San Gimignano, sang these superb sonnets at the beginning of the 14th century. century.
The translation of Željka Čorak was awarded the annual award of the Society of Croatian Translators for 2000.
