Summary
Zvonimir Balog: One Hundred Occupations
In his famous witty-serious way, Balog talks about occupations and their variety, although quite bizarre occupations such as champion, parachutist, gourmet or superman are also represented. Work is a gift, although Balog bluntly diagnoses a disturbed society that has lost the connection between work and gift. In addition to that critical and somewhat satirical intonation, Balog reads also the nostalgic one about disappeared occupations or talks about practical and hard occupations, occasionally interspersing regular and useful occupations, and very witty poetic miniatures that bring play and joy back to work.
