Summary
Branko Klarić: Solemn worship
He was born in 1912 in Jesenice near Dugi Rat. He graduated from the Franciscan high school in Sinj. In Zagreb, he studied Croatian language and literature at the Faculty of Philosophy.
Tragically he ended up on the Stations of the Cross in 1945. For a long time, he was kept quiet during the South-Communist period, and the Croatian public has remained little known to this day.
In the collection Svečano bogoslujje (1945; edition destroyed) he varies the apologetic theme (the manifestation of the divine in phenomena) with the mystical ecstasies of Franciscan spirituality (creatures of the Creator's glory).
