Summary
Nora Roberts: Carnal Innocence
Exhausted and recovering from a bad relationship, celebrated violinist Caroline Waverly arrives at her grandparents' former home in Innocence, Mississippi, in desperate need of a break. Instead of taking a break, Caroline will again encounter challenges - first with Tucker Longstreet, a charming local prone to superficial love affairs, and then with a more deadly, disturbing development. Innocence is being stalked by a serial killer hiding among the citizens, whose brutal knife moves tore apart the peaceful veil of that sleepy southern town and left behind a series of mutilated female corpses.
When a federal agent arrives to investigate, the most hidden local secrets will surface, and Tucker will become the prime suspect. After Caroline finds the latest victim floating in murky water behind her house, she will inevitably find herself on the path of a crazed killer who may be closer than she thought.
