Summary
Danica Vukićević: The Inland Sea
I used to smoke and now I don't anymore. I miss cigars. I miss the anxiety they caused. She was sweet and resembled a hazy memory of paradise and sorrow. More hopeless than happy. Girls Swear. They are waxing. They drink. Alcohol is necessary. There is hope The sun illuminates the world, reaching through the lattice structure covered with canopies - golden and rust red; I walk and enjoy the morning. Something like a familiar sound. After a thousand years, I not only hear, but also see a scene that was so common in my childhood: someone (an elderly man) hitting a carpet hung on a metal structure in front of the building.
