Summary
Miguel de Cervantes: Fraudulent Marriage / The Conversation of Dogs
The reader is presented with two exemplary novellas by Cervantes in which life and death, writing and the written are intertwined: Kampusano, the hero and narrator of The Fraudulent Marriage, writes down the Conversation of Dogs, which he listened to during the night of the disorder in the Easter Hospital. Cervantes, no less than Borges, enjoys confronting story with story like a mirror with a mirror.
