Mato Lovrak: Train in the Snow
Train in the Snow was written in 1931. The author, then a young teacher, was inspired to write by a real event. The novel is about the children of the Great Village who, with their teacher, go on a trip to the city, and on the way back home, thanks to their cooperation, they manage to save the train from a snow drift. The novel is structured in the form of drinkable, child-friendly prose characterized by a simple and dynamic plot. A feature film was also made based on the book.
