On 960 pages, this dictionary covers more than 57,000 "entries" (dictionary articles) with approximately 100,000 meanings translated into French, around 9,000 examples illustrating usage (and which come in minimal context), close to 6,000 phraseological phrases and ready-made expressions, more than 1500 technical terms and about 1700 proper names. Dayre's, Deanović's and Maixner's CROATIAN-FRENCH DICTIONARY is the most extensive and complete Croatian-French dictionary to date. Even though it was completed almost four decades ago, it can still meet the basic requirements in translation from Croatian to French, including the translation of texts from different professions. This dictionary deals with professional and technical terminology from the fields of literature and ethnology, law, economics and finance, botany and zoology, medicine and health, maritime and fisheries, tourism, transport, construction, geography, etc.
