Summary
Jodi Dean: The Communist Horizon
"Communism re-emerges as a magnet for political energy because it was and remains an alternative to capitalism. When communism becomes our horizon, then the field of possibilities for revolutionary theory and practice begins to change shape. Barriers to sharing fall. New potentials and new challenges come to the fore […] The communist horizon is not lost […] Everything is possible."
Jodi Dean:
American political philosopher and professor at Department of Political Science at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in New York. In his research and works, he deals with the space and possibilities of contemporary politics. Jodi Dean makes great efforts to analyze the theses of Hart, Negri, Agamben, Žižek and Badiou, thereby clearly contextualizing her political and philosophical thought, and through a dialogue with the left-wing philosophical current, she also makes her own contribution to the vision of a revolutionary subject.
