Arthur i Minimejci

Besson Luc

Summary

Luc Bresson: Arthur and the Minimejci

Arthur is ten years old and he is troubled by a lot of worries, and help is nowhere to be found. He cannot rely too much on his parents because they are too busy, so they sent him to live with his grandmother and do not interfere too much in their lives. Grandma is very sweet and nice, her old house is full of surprises and enchanting souvenirs, but she has her own worries and can't stop thinking about her grandfather, who disappeared under mysterious circumstances four years ago. Arthur is left with his only friend, the dog Alfred, but unfortunately he is not up to the task.

And a black cloud in the form of an old, unpaid debt looms ever stronger over Arthur's childhood and threatens the safety of his new home. And when it seems that there is no way to save the grandmother's house, a glimmer of hope will appear in the grandfather's library: an old, dusty book that tells about the people of the Minimeians and about the great treasure that is hidden in their land.

But where do the Minimeians live? Are they good or evil? And most importantly, how to find them? A heavy burden for a ten-year-old's frail shoulders, but Arthur simply has no other choice. If he wants to save his grandmother's house, he will have to embark on a dangerous adventure and go on a search.

Luc Besson is known for his world-famous films "Nikita", "The Fifth Element" and "Jeanne d'Orléans". The series about Arthur ("Arthur and the Minimeians", "Arthur and the Forbidden City", "Arthur and Maltazard's Revenge"), which contains all the elements of a tense adventure, is his first literary attempt.
