Summary
Bjorg Vik: Late Summer
The first work of the Norwegian writer Bjorg Vik, with which she presents herself to readers in Croatia, is a collection of selected short stories that at first glance are unrelated to each other. What connects them is the issue of complex interpersonal relationships, which the author describes in a nuanced and almost sensual way, emphasizing the relationship between the sexes. Each story is a miniature of feelings and the eternal question of the essence of being runs through each one. The lyrical expression conveys the atmosphere of the novel, carefully describing nature and the world that surrounds us with an all-encompassing timbre of nostalgia.
